As a not-for-profit charitable organization, throughout the year we have a variety of fundraising initiatives to supplement our program costs, and to purchase new quality toys and playground equipment. We set up special projects each year based on parents’ input to work towards.
In 2008, thanks to the support of The Community Foundation for Greater Kingston, The United Way, and families, friends and staff, we raised funds for our new playground, which both kids and teachers are now enjoying.
In 2012, as part of the Centre’s redecorating project, many of the newly painted walls (courtesy of Altaray Property Services) were decorated with decals from Uppercase Living. Courtesy of Lisa Tugnette, a ‘FUNraiser’ was held in February to facilitate the purchase and donation of the decals found throughout the Centre.
Donations may be given directly to Something Special Children’s Centre as we are a not-for-profit charity. Tax donation receipts will be given to all donors. If you have any suggestions for new fundraising ideas, or would like to help with fundraising initiatives, please do not hesitate to let us know.
